First of all, you must always lock the door when you go out. It seems to be logical, but some people don't remember about this simple thing.
You shouldn't park new shiny car in front of your house. it's signal for burglars that owners of this house may have a lot of money and inside there can be many valuable things.
You shouldn't draw attention- if you buy something, don't leave empty boxes next to the dustbin.
We complain about nosy neighbours, but if we leave our house, they can be very useful, because they will keep an eye on your house.
Plan high and thick hedge it's also a good idea.
If you install a burglar alarm or hire a security you have less chance of being burgled.
You can't keep your ledders near home, because you make it easier to get into the house by a burglar.
