Test Writing CAE - temat Report from a discussion about vandalism in your college

Dear Sir,

We have had a meeting to discuss the recent cases of theft and vandalism in our college. We came to the following conclusions, which, we hope, you will consider when acting to improve the security level in the college:

1. The most important thing is the number of people having free access to the facilities of our college. Everyone, not only the students, are allowed to enter the college's buildings. We strongly recommend that every student should get a personal ID, and that a person without an ID wouldn't be allowed to enter the college. This should significantly reduce the amount of theft and vandalism, as we think that only a small part of these acts was made by our students.

2. There should be also a clear rule for all students - If you steal or damage any item, you will have to pay for it and will be relegated from the college.

3. We suggest that in rooms where the equipment like computers is stored there should be a monitoring system, e.g. TV cameras. This will help to prove any acts of theft or vandalism to the person that did them. We think that this suggestion along with the previous one, if you consider it positively, would ensure that none of students would do such acts.

We hope that you will consider our suggestions and find them useful. We are looking forward for you to take any action that will improve the security level in our college.
