What can you do for people in countries, which are at war?

Nowadays we can be witnesses of events in countries that are at war. We can watch scenes of war, which are televised live. It is a horrible experience when you are watching people who are being killed and their belongings being destroyed. In such situations, I always ask myself if there is anything I can do for the victims of war. A lot of people think that there is nothing that can stop a war machine. But are they right?
I think that there are a lot of things that we can do for the victims of war. First of all, we can spare money for charity organisations. People should share things like clothes, food and medicines. Moreover, a financial help is not enough. Those people who are believers should pray for peace. In spite of this, war can be unavoidable. But every war is impossible without weapons, so we ought to destroy all of them. Most of people are able to destroy weapons like rifles or guns. What is more, we can petition authorities to prohibit using mines and weapons of mass destruction. Let’s say there is a voting if our country should help another country defend against enemy. Then we all should vote to help. We also should vote for Polish integration with European Union to strengthen allied forces. Finally, we can organize a rally against war.
If we have so many ways of help, so why there are still problems? In my opinion we just have to start helping those people more boldly.
