When the phone rang, i feared worst

It was happened a few days ago, when I was coming back from school. While I was walking I saw a couple of boys who were fighting with a police officer.
Firstly when I saw them I was surprised, but suddenly I have realized that there was my best friend Maciek. It was horrible to me because I wondered what should I do. While my friend was getting pain I was riven between a law and friendship.
Of course I was frightened but I decided to help my friends without any information about this case. It turned out that it was my mistake. After that while we were running down the street to run from the police my friends told me what had really happened. I heard that he has stolen some money from the shop and when the police officer came he hit him. I got upset because I was in danger. If my parents find out that I would be dead.
After some days me and my friends were been in my house when It did happened. We heard the phone sound. When the phone rang, I feared the worst because I was sure that it is the police and I will go to a jail. In fortune It was only me grandmother.
After this adventure me and my friends swear each other not to get trouble witch the police.
