My best holiday - in France

MY BEST HOLIDAY

I went with my parents and their familiars to France three years ago. I think it was my best holiday. I stil remember everything and I hope I’ll never forget.

We got there through the Czech Republic, Austria and Switzerland. The journey lasted almost three days. First of all we lived in Lourdes for 5 days. It’s a small town in west-south France and it is found in the heart of the Pyrenees. It’s a world famous pilgrimage centre. We discovered the Basilica, the Grotto and all places connected with Bernadette Soubirous. We also were in a marvellous mountain where we saw snow (it was summer, about 36*C) and many sheep. Afterwards, we drove to Tarnos – a little town at the Atlantic Ocean. My parents, their familiars with children and I spent in this cheerful place 5 days, We swam in the Ocean or the swimming pool, went for a walk, played tennis or cards and cought huge cockchafer. During the journey to Paris, we visited the magnificent castels on Loire: Le Chateau Chaumont, Chambord, Villandry and Montresor. In Paris we saw Wersal, The Eiffel Tower, Centre Pompidou, Musee d’Orsay, Musee de Louvre, Cathdrale Notre-Dame, Invalides - Muse de l'Arme, Arc de Triomphe, Tour Montparnasse, Place da La Concorde and so on. I liked best amazing Versailles and its garden. After those 4 days in Paris we came back to Poland. The journey home lasted only 2 days.

This was my best summer holiday! I hope that I will go to France again in the future.
