Drugs addicts are victim, not criminals.

The problem of drug has been present in Poland and in other country for few years. They arouses a lot of controversy. For example in Holland this problem aren’t huge, because this county legalise light drugs. Someone people think that drug addicts are criminals, other people think that them are victims. In my opinion drug addicts are victims.
Firstly that people are victims of their own weakness and dealers’ greed. Lot of people are making big money in drug’s trade. They are building their happiness, when other people have very serious problems.
What’ s more addiction leads to destruction of human relations, their family, self- respect and what is the most important are destroyed health. Lot of drug addicts to are dying for AIDS and other likely disease. Drug addict’s family suffer from. Lot of relation ships to disintegrate.
Secondly drug addicts are defenseless- they can’t give up the habit by themselves. They need other people, for example they need family, professionals, and psychologist, to give them a helping hand.
On the other hand in Poland possessing even a small amount of drugs is treated as a crime.
Someone people call addict “criminals”, because in our country we have very hard penalties.
If someone has got tread drugs, he’ll go to prison for maximum 2 years.
Secondly if someone distribute and sell drugs to minors and youngsters he’ll go to prison for maximum 15 years.
In my mind the drug addicts are victims, not criminals. Maybe I confuse…
