Letter Of Protest

Dear Editor,

I am writing to protest about the Polish government’s decision to increase the retirement age of teachers in every polish school. I was shocked when I heard about this.
In my school we have some older teachers and I must believe that sometimes they are not very good teachers. This is not just my opinion- my friends have the same opinion. Older teachers do not have good interaction with students and because of this they can not deliver knowledge to our heads. They were great in the past but now they should retire.
Furthermore, they do not understand our problems. Teachers should help solve our problems- their role is not only to teach but also to be our friends. Sometimes, because of their age, they forget about essential things.
The government has said that they must do this because they do not have money for pension and people in almost every trade must work longer before they retire.
In my opinion, the government is wrong about teachers. Teacher should be young, full of energy and should have good contact with pupils. We should remember that this is a hard occupation, demanding sacrifice. I truly believe that we can change this situation.
