Nowadays so many sports exist but not only there are very few sports that do not involve risk taking but they are not also banned. And why should they be?

Let’s take as an example box. For instance, boxers know the risks they face, when they step into the ring. They accept them as part and parcel of their trade, and take the rewards. As in all areas of life, where there is a lot of money involved there is a large risk. But this is their choice so why shouldn’t we let them make it?

Another argument that followers of violent sports make their own choices about whether or not to go into the sport - is perhaps too simplistic. Many young atheletes enter the brutal world as a way out of life on the streets, faced with few prospects but to make it big in violent sports. Surely it would be better to improve other opportunities for young people, such as education, skills training etc. as a more positive alternative to battering one another half to death under the name of sport. In other words, let it continue but changes that will make it safer would be also well seen.

Continually brutal sports should remain as sport because if it were to be banned it would go underground and cause a lot more injuries. There would be no medical supervision, doctors and hospital on stand-by.

To sum up, all those brutal and violent sports athelts know the risks of taking part in as well as the potential riches. Of course there is always potential brain damage or even death, but they put their own lives on the line and no-one else's. These are their own lives and in my opinion the sports should not be banned.
