Television is transmitting of pictures, moving scenes and sound in the form of electric signals, and restoring them in TV-sets. It can be acknowledged as the first successful attempt of realization human's immemorial dream, to create system, which will give possibilities to "look over the horizon".
Although television is quite young invention, it has already become one of the appliances modern people cannot live without. However is it really so convenience for us? It occupies our time so that we can easily addicted to it. Furthermore television promotes violence and fast-fleeting trends, so that a lot of people can fall in to complexes. Moreover it is no longer the way of entertainment but it has become one of the major sources of political propaganda.
In the other hand television has also many advantages. It gives us current access to information and events in the four corners of the Globe and possibilities to take some knowledge about exotic and hard to visit places such as Africa, Asia and Australia. It is full of very interesting channels as Discovery, National Geographic or BBC and CNBC. TV offers us also easy to assimilate educational materials, which quite often are used by teachers because it is said that it will leave in the most stupid student's head a mark.
In my opinion television is one of the greatest things that could have ever happened to us. It may be regard as some kind of art, and everybody who thinks that it is a course, are madmen for me.
