17 -year old driver kills himself and his friend.

In the early hours of Monday morning two young people were killed in the terrible accident caused by a 17-year-old driver from Edinburgh.

Thomas B. and Arnold S., two schoolboys killed on Monday, were driving along the motorway when they crashed into a delivery van when they overtake another car. The driver was going along at 80 per hour, while the speed limit allowed only 50. When he was about 30 meters before the van, he tried to swerve off. Unfortunately it was to close and he hit the van, which crushed his car so badly. The rescue team, which arrived 6 minutes later, could not help the victims. Witnesses who saw the accident said that it was obvious that young driver had not seen the van or had not realize that this car is so close as he had not even slow down.
Young boys were on their way home from vacation when the accident happened. They are said to be killed on the spot. The driver of the van
Bernard F., 43, who was all right was taken to the hospital and now is being treated for head and back injuries.
Chief Inspector said: ‘We are all shocked about this accident. I believe that one day young people realize that fast speed is their enemy’.
