Cloning is using genetic engineerimg to make exact copis of living plants and animals. It has been in science fiction for years. Since 1999, whit the cloning of a sheep Dolly it has became a part of real life and the subject of debate.
For some people, human cloning is accepteble in medicine. For example, human tissue (tkanka ;) ) can be cloned for use in organ replacement or gene therapy. When somebody is very ile and needs organ donor, we could cloned him and then we will have more certainty to donor compatibility.
We also can make very inteligent and famous from they accomplishments in the past, people who can help us in development of our science. Maybe then we can faster find cures for many incurable diseases like AIDS. However there are many arguments against doning. Many humans saw the cloning of Dolly as a major breakthroygh. It is just another step to playing with nature. Scientists have no idea of the long-term effects of genetic engineering. When we create ?perfect? plants and animals they could eliminate the variety of species on our planet.
Furthermore, some scientists say that, we could transplant organs from cloned animals into humans. Then the risk to health will be enormous.
Comparing all things for and against, I?m against cloning. We should regulate genetic engineering and stop experiments until will be too late.
