Have you ever got to know Poznań ... on foot?

Is it a crazy idea? No! There isn’t any better way to get to know a city. Here we present you three exciting walks which will show you a diversity of our Poznań.

Walk 1: Stones from outer space.
Start out from the mysterious ruins of the evangelical church built in XIX century on Morasko street. Pass the unbelievably rich baroque order and walk throw the oldest lane in Poznań admiring spellbinding structures left by glacier. Then turn into the forest and see seven craters made by a meteorite. Perhaps you will find a small piece of it? In one of craters there is a pond. In April it is green, in May yellow, in June pink. Nobody knows why. Maybe you can solve this mystery? Climb up the Morasko Mountain and see the ruins of a tower built by Germans during The II WW. If you will have a luck, you will see a herd of deers. At the end of the path you will find a snug forester’s house, where you can drink some draught beer.

Walk 2: A gust of history.
This walk takes you around The Old Market and it’s amazing houses. You can visit The Działyński’s Palace and Fara church, where you can listen to marvellous Sunday concert. On The Old Market you will find plenty of museums like The Museum of Medieval Weapons and Henryk Sienkiewicz’s Museum. But the most exciting building is the Town Hall. If you want, you may become an archaeologist and try to translate Latin inscriptions painted on it. Inside you will find a gallery of photography and museum of tortures. After walk you can relax in one of small cafes around the market.

Walk 3: Sport and wild animals.
Do you like sport? If so, go to The Malta, where you can ride a bike around Malta Lake, ski on an artificial mountain or skate through some charming forests. Than, by narrow- gauge railway, get The Big Zoo, where you will meet the rarest animals in Europe. To see all of them you need 6 hours, so take your time and relax watching. In The Zoo you can buy the tastiest ice- creams in Poznań.

Is there anything more pleasant than walking? No! You must take the opportunity of seeing Poznań on foot. Believe us, it’s worth. So get out your house and walk!
