Is our planet coming to an end?

It’s worth acknowledging that the world is being destroyed because of our exploitation. Is our planet for this reason coming to an end? In my opinion it’s quite probable that we might completely impoverish natural environment.

Firstly, people produce more and more rubbish and waste in their households. They stealthy dump refuse in forests, rivers and on roadsides. People also drop litter on the streets polluting their neighbourhoods.

Secondly, waste gases increase the greenhouse effect. Carbon dioxide and others waste gases that are given off in large quantities by factories and power stations as well as by motor vehicles enhance the greenhouse effect, which has a negative impact on global warming.

What is more acid rain harmfully affects the natural environment. It is a dangerous form of pollution. It is caused by poisonous gases mixed with water in the atmosphere. Acid rain makes trees vulnerable to disease, and makes fish in lake and rivers die off. It also damages buildings and harmfully affects people.

We should also remember that biodiversity is disappearing due to poaching and wildlife trade. Hunting and poaching reduce biodiversity as they cause severe decline in population of some animals. The situation is aggravated by illegal wildlife trade that poses a considerable threat to numerous animal species.

Last but not least, exploitation of natural resources contributes to ecological degradation. Badly managed exploitation of natural resources (minerals, fuels, timber) damages the natural balance of the ecosystem.

So, all in all, I am worried about the future. Our actions can make the natural resources unavailable for future generations.
