Sophie's World - a book different than others...

I've read many books in my life, but this one is completely different. It is entitled "Sophie's World". I'm sure you should read it too. Let me tell you why.

The size and subject (history of philosophy) don't seem to be encouraging. rm not interested in history and philosophy at all. What's so interesting in it then? The book relates abut young girl, named Sophie. She is a typical teenager and schoolgirl with her own friends and life. One day, she receives an anonymous note. There is only written "Who are you?'. This question makes her think a lot of her genesis. in one word, thanks to mysterious middle-aged man, her life changes dramatically. He's got the reason for writing such notes to Sophie. What reason? You will find out reading a book.

Reading the first chapters, you don't even suspect what is going to happen in the next ones. It makes the story more and more surprising. In the certain point you realize that... you have read "a book in a book". Suddenly a lot of aspects become clear. But there appear new ones.

"Sophie's World" is a great course in history of philosophy. Anyway, it's not another boring history book, but a fascinating journey through the world where people ask basic questions. I'm sure you have at last once wondered how the world arose. The book will surely make you think of it again.

I think "Sophie's World" doesn?t need any recommendation. In some aspects it can be compared to "Matrix" - a famous film which you surely have seen. If you enjoyed it, you will enjoy "The World Of Sophie' as well.
