Nowadays on TV there are many different programmes. Some of them are more educational than others. From these educational I recommend the National Geographic Channel. Unfortunately in Poland it is available only on the cable television like Cyfra .
In September 1997 the world's first National Geographic Channel was screened in Europe and Australia. Currently it reaches 200 million homes, in 146 countries and in 26 languages. This channel is broadcasted in Polish 18 hours per day. Its appearances into Polish market meet with the society?s approval and interested.
On the air we could watch over 116 programmes ? honored with the Emmy Award. The National Geographic Channel is devoted to cultures, expeditions, travels, educational achievements, environmental protection, natural phenomena and archeology. Everyone finds there something interesting for themselves.
The National Geographic Channel collaborates with the National Geographic Company. Heroes of these films are explorers and discoverers. We learn about news at first hand, from people who take part in some undertakings.
It is worth mentioning that earnings from this channel are donated to scholarships and educational researches conducted at the whole globe. They have financed over 6 thousand expeditions and educational programmes. Thus, watching this channel we contribute to our development of natural-geographical knowledge.
On TV there are lots of different, interesting and useful programmes, we really have a varied choice. Nevertheless, I think the National Geographic Channel the best of them. We find there diverse information on every topic. I thoroughly recommend the National Geographic Channel for watching and learning.
