Hackers is a action and I think it?s a bit cyberpunk movie that shows us the problems of young hacker Dade Murphy ("Crash Override"/"Zero Cool", played by Johnny Lee Miller), Kate Libby ("Acid Burn", Angelina Jolie), their friends and the police fighting with computers crimes. It was written by Rafael Moreu and directed by Ian Softley.

In 1988, Seattle Dade "Zero Cool" Murphy is arrested and charged, at the age of 11, with crashing 1,507 systems in one day and causing a drop in the New York Stock Exchange. He is banned from owning or operating computer or touch-tone telephone until his 18th birthday.
He moves with his mother to New York. Dade calls a local television station, dupes the security guard and successfully cracks into the station's computer network, changing the current program. However, Dade is "attacked" by a cracker on the same network, and is eventually kicked off.
Dade enrolls in the prestigious school, where he meets the beautiful Kate, who is responsible for taking him on a tour of the school. The Kate?s joke starts a war between Dade and Kate. This duel, is most of the plot.
The real trouble starts when Joey Pardella (Jesse Bradford),a novice cracker successfully breaks into an oil company supercomputer to prove to the rest of the group that he is an elite hacker. In order to validate this success, he downloads part of a garbage file. The company?s IT staff detects this unauthorized connection with systems and summons computer security expert Eugene Belford (Fisher Stevens) to deal with the problem. He realizes that the file can prove that he is stealing money from the company by illegal operations. He induce Secret Service to cooperate with him to catch crackers, he said that they?ve uploaded a virus that will capsize oil tankers.......

From Jargon: ?A notable bomb from 1995. Should have been titled Crackers, because cracking is what the movie was about. It's understandable that they didn't however; titles redolent of snack food are probably a tough sell in Hollywood. Nobody really had any hope that the smooth-lobed idiots from California would properly comprehend the English language anyway.?

The Zero Cool, is based on Robert Tappan Morris. The Phantom Phreak. The film quotes the Hacker Manifesto from Phrack magazine. In the film, the character reading the manifesto was holding a copy of 2600 magazine, not Phrack. Also, the name of one character, Emmanuel Goldstein is borrowed from the psuedonym of Eric Corley, one of the editors of 2600. Coley helped advise the movie makers on the hacker subculture.
Music wasn?t boring, action was very fast, the plot is fascinating, but I think that the hackers/crackers culture could be shown better. I, as the person who is interested in computers some events were very funny, the vision of browsing files was ridiculous, some phrases were funny. Some people can experience it in other ways, it?s up to your knowledge about computers.
We have got fun, action, computers, youth, hackers, crackers there. If you?re a geek and you want to laugh a lot(not about events, but about mistakes), or if you?re a normal person interested in computers and want to have a lot of fun, I?ll recommend it to you, no matter who you are, but this will affect on object of your disappointing.
