Londyn

London is the capital of England, Great Britain and the UK. It's the largest town in Europe and one of the oldest town in the world. More than six milion people live in London. The most important parts of London are: The City, the West End and the East End.

THE CITY extends over an area if about 2,6 square kilometres in the heart of London. The city is the oldest and the busiest part of London. In the City the traffic is heavy an week-days. This is because it's the finical centre of the UK with many banks, offices and the Stock Exchange.

THE WEST END is the richest part of London. It's situated between the City and the West End and the parts of London which everybody who comes to London should see, because they are more interesting than any other part of London. Here are the historical places: Hyde Park with Speakers Corner, Kemington Gardens, Buckingham Palace, Palace of Westminster. It's the area of the largest hotels. There are about 40 theatres.

The port of London is to the east of the city. Here are kilometres of docks. This is THE EAST END of London. The East End is the part of London where working people live. It's not so rich as other parts of London and there are fewer parkss there.
