In Poland are many unusual places,which are worth visiting for example the Salt Mine in southern Poland,near Cracov.
This place has got rich history. The legend say, that 700 years ago a princes called the Blessed Kinga threw her ring into a salt mine at Marmaros in Hungary. And during her travel from Marmaros to Cracov something amazing happened . In Wieliczka salt was discovered and Kinga's ring was found.
It's incredible but salt has been mined from the rock below the town of Wieliczka. At the beginning salt was carried by the miners but they often killed or injured. Because of danger miners constructed the chapel where church services were held. Unfortunately in 1697 chapel was destroyed by the fire. After this incident miners carved sculptures from rock salt.
Every year many visitors arrive because they can see the enormous chamber, pretty green lakes,chapels with beautiful carvings.
This place makes you gasp in amazament. It's a beautiful place with unforgettable sights.
