Bright morning sunlight shone through my bedroom window when I woke. I lay there lazily for a few minutes, then jumped out of bed and stepped under the hot water of the shower. I was on the travel in Egypt and nothing showed that may be the most risky expedition of my hitherto life.
That day I want move on single expedition to ruins of antique temple. One day earlier I packed my bags and borrow Land Rover. I got off from under hotel and steered to guide pointers. I was warned about the extreme danger of sand storm and the sunstroke but I didn’t worried this. As usual, it was scorching hot in the desert, but the sky was fantastic and jeep has big sliding roof so I could feel comfortable.
After travel a certain distance of 400 kilometers I should be on the place. I have laid eyes on compass, just the same how said guide. Something was wrong and I knew that. First and almost true idea – the compass is faulty. I had watch on hand which I was holded compass and that was a reason. I have been all alone on center of nothing and gasoline petered out. On the horizon I couldn't see anything neither caravans or the oases. Suddenly, I heard faraway human voices and loud exotic music. That was a safari and I was saved.
Exhausted I slammed the front door behind me. I threw myself onto my bed, started into the darkness and thought bitterly “No more single expedition”.
