Advantages and disadvantages of using credit cards by students


Nowadays, more and more teens and college students are having credit cards. I thing, that credit cards are having many advantages but every plus has its minus.
First of all, giving children credit cards is just plain stupid. Credit card use can be addictive to some. Credit cards make it so easy and painless to spend money that many students simply purchase without thinking and don't consider how they'll pay off their purchases.
Furthermore, some people think that if kids use credit cards while they're still at home being watched by their parents, they will handle credit responsibly when they're on their own. Giving teens credit cards is like letting them use drugs early, so that they won't turn into addicts.
Also, the biggest disadvantage of credit cards is that they encourage kids to spend money that they don't have
On the other hand, teens and college students thanks credit cards can become a better money manager as they learn to use credit responsibly. However, spending money is more real to kids when they have to count out the bills and look down into an empty wallet.
Like most things, there are advantages and disadvantages of using credit cards by students. Credit cards can make life easier and be a great tool, but if they aren't used wisely they can become a huge problem and financial burden.
