Nowadays it’s hard to get a job. Qualifications and education must reach higher level. In addition to this there are people (and there are certainly more of them nowadays) who are constantly supplementing their education and those who didn’t want to learn or didn’t have money to pay for their studies. This diversity considerably affects on the height of payment. Fairly knowledge is rewarded and ignorance is displaced.
Another example is a profession in which workers have to risk their lives. This kind of worker exposes his family to danger of being alone. Besides this he exposes himself to danger of disability and this way he deprives himself of being able to work. This man must be given more money in that case than an ordinary shoemaker or shopkeeper.
Moreover if there weren’t such diversities people wouldn’t have any motivation to get higher and higher positions in their work career.
To sum it up different people have different needs and skills, so they should get different payments for this.
