I think we should not continue Space Exploration because it is not a needed resource. We are spending trillions of dollars of our taxes on search for “aliens”, but even if we find them we cannot go or contact them in any way because of the distance. We are spending billions of dollars on traveling to the moon and experiencing accidents. The closest aliens would be thousands of light years away so it would be to far away for us to travel.

As my first argument, I would like to say that one of the most controversial topics is the billions of dollars we spend on space exploration and whether it truly is worth the cost. There are billions of hungry adults and children on earth so it would be better to use it in a better way. We could use it on the hungry instead of wasting it on a not needed resource.

As my second argument I would like say that I really don’t think we should send astronauts into space because we are risking their lives. It would be extremely hard to explain to the astronauts’ families that they died.

Thirdly, supporters of space exploration say that we should continue space exploration because finally all the resources on Earth will be exhausted and we may find them elsewhere. There is a little possibility for that to happen. First of all it would be too far away and it would be really hard to evacuate the whole world’s population on to a new planet. Bringing these resources on to Earth would be too costly.

In summary, I think we should not continue space exploration because we are wasting money, resources, and human lives. We should use money that we have to fight hunger and other diseases like HIV.
