Fire was invented centuries ago to help people. Electricity, gas, drugs and thousands of other inventions were to serve people. They made their life easier, nicer, more comfortable. They did. And they still serve us nowadays. However, sometimes, lately more and more often we’re heard about disasters caused by human inventions. Do I have to count terrifying effects of fires, blaze, electrocution, gas explosions, gun etc.? No point.
INTERNET-a way to communicate, explore, achieve, estimate, foresee, count, match, show, chat, but also spoil, ruin and distract. Advantages and disadvantages. As usual-two different sides of the same medal. But whatever disadvantages there could be, how dangerous they might appear-can we, the twenty first generation imagine our life without internet? Without that incredible access to information, knowledge- just to the world. How would the world look like if the group of American military officers didn’t manage to find a knot connecting four computers? Internet is a part of our life. It is. It exists, no matter you agree with it or not. If any opponent would like to point at disadvantages and dark side of this, let me say, miracle of technique, there’s no way to withdraw. Don’t look at it, cause there’s no use crying over the spilt milk. Instead of thinking “ what would be if…”, we young people, should rather concentrate on the fact how to reduce threatens carried by internet, how to strengthen its power and show it’s undoubted advantages. Could you imagine that women who lives in Australia can order the dish from London only pressing the button? Also thanks to internet if you want see exhibition in Krakow you can stay at home, don’t have to move, press the button and hear you are.
Breaking rules, aggression, pornographic, wires…yes, it is the possibility, but let’s realize and point at the ability of reaching objective information, knowledge and entering the widest area-the world. I we are together we’ll be able to make computers, internet serve only good, noble.
