"Glen or Glenda" is one of black and white films directed by Edward D. Wood Junior - the worst director in history. He played the main character, wrote the script and produced this horrible movie. World premiere of "Glend or Glenda" was in 1954. Next to Wood in movie appeared Dolores Fuller and Bela Lugosi, who became famous in 1930 when he played in "Dracula"
Main character, who can be idntify with Edward Wood, Glen is a man, who prefered wearing women clothes then men fashion. Whe he puts on woollen sweater, a blond wig and a make up he become Glenda. Whole movie shows his problems with his girlfriend, who could not accept his lifelong habits.
After watching "Glen or Glenda" the spectator do not know what exacty this movie was about. As a main motif the director tanged many misunderstanding stage. Only Bela Lugosi played at medium level, but his part can be cut out without any loss for the plot. Other actors werw uncovincing. The dialogues were replaced with the narrator story.
"Glen or Glenda" is a crap. Watching this 65 minutes film is completly waste of time and money. Edward Wood had a burning desire for doing a great movie, but the road to hell is paved with good intertions.
