Firts christening (chrzest Polski).

I will try to describe event, which had place at the beginning of rising of Poland – to accept christening by Mieszko I. I think, that this event was very important, because it gave chance on further development of Poland.

In those times lived two tribes, round of which assembled political life. One from them, was country of Wislans, and second was country of Polans. Development these two centres happens on beginning X age. First Polish rulers captured all area, which was lived by these tribes. About 960 year governments on these grounds embraced Mieszko I – Siemiomysl`s son, he was first prince ff Poland from dynasty Piastów.

All events from this years were directed to accepct baptism by Poles. In 965 year Mieszko married daughter of Czech prince – Dobrawa. Then Poland needed ally to fights with Slav tribes Wielits and had to stay good position among European states. So Mieszko resolved to do to accept baptism. After short preparations and religious learnings in 966 year Mieszko accepted christenig from hands of German bishop. All ceremony had raised character and it ended splendid feast.

Meaning of christening was huge. Mieszko resolved to do on abandonment of paganism, because Christianity raised rank and authority of ruler also our ruler was treated equally with other princes. I think, that just this event gave beginning of splendour Poland, which was developed by next kings
