Controversial building in your city?

Funny how strange and ridiculous decisions of the City Councils can be. Imagine the old medieval houses with leaky roofs, and little wooden benches in a park, which are being eaten by borers, and right next to them this huge modern high-rise building, with glassy walls, full of lights inside and outside, new parking spaces in the basement and a swimming pool on the top. Does it sound familiar?
Yes, this is a view of our beautiful city. Some people have already criticised the work of the new officials. They just can’t accept that the City Department is giving away money for building households which aren’t needed to the people as much as food or a place to work in.

The youth, on the other hand, says that the new building is a really nice place. Some great parties are held there in the pubs on the lower floors, and most of all, teenagers have a clean place to meet after school in safety and a kind atmosphere.

Is the new building a matter of argument between generations? It clearly shows that opinions are divided between the young and the old. Who will win this match before the City Office Workers decide on building the next one, modern and high-rise edifice? No-one knows...
