Education in Britain is decentralised. Apart from schools are state supported and publicly mentained, they are also”public school” which are indepented and which charge high fees for studying. Education in this country is obligatory between 5 and 15 ages. At age 5 childreen go to Inent School. At the 7 they go to Junior School, were stay untill they are 11. At the age of 11 children take the “eleven plus” examination, this proces select which type of secondary school they wiil attend. They are three types o secondary school: grammar school, secondary modern school and secondary technical schools. More children go to secondary modern school. Which give a general but more practis education. Most grammar school children stay at school until the age of 17 or 18. Upon leaving, pupil may take an exam or the General Certificate o Education. This consist of two levels: 0-levels (ordinary) usually at the age 16. A-levels (advenced) usually taken at the 18-19. After secondary eduaction, pupil can go to univerusity or colleages. Universities oer two types studying undergraduate (3 years) and postgraduate (5 years). At the age 21 students get Bachelor’s Degree, and the 23 Master Degree.
