I can say that I am a true film buff and I’ve seen a lot of films, but one I have remembered especially. It is “Le Fabuleux destin d'Amlie Poulain” directed by a French director Jean-Pierre Jeunet. It is very hard to say what kind of film is it but approximately I can call it a romantic comedy.

The action takes place in this day and age in a quarter of Paris called Montmartre. The main character – Amlie Poulain – determines on making other people happy. Amlie works as a waitress in one of the cafs in Monmartre. One day she gets up and thinks out how to pair hypochondriac Georgette off with jealous Joseph, tell always crying neighbour Madeleine that in real she hadn’t been left by her beloved a long time ago, defend sensitive vegeteble’s seller’s assistant – Lucien and punich his employer Collignon. She has to look after her brisk, cranky father. Except this she tries to find her own happiness and love.

Young French – Audrey Tatou who played Amlie was very convincing. Her role was fresh, optimistic and excellent acted. She makes you laugh, moves and amazes. The man she is intrigued by is played by Mathieu Kassovitz and his Character is called Nino Quincampoix.
Amlie finds a foto album and she wonders who does it belong to. She prepares a lot of test for the owner and this way she falls in kive with him.

I think that this film is brilliant because it is different. It’s different from all the films we have seen before. It’s a new piont of view on love, good and the whole world. For two hours we see by Amlie’s eyes and notice the beauty of the world. We enjoy every little thing. It’s a kind of a fairy tale that we want to be true.
