John Carter is one of better science-ficion films of the year 2012. Director of this film is Andrew Stanton, mainly known for great animated feature films, eg. Finding Nemo,
WALL-E and Toy Story. However also this production (not animated) achieved a success in cinemas. John Carter debuted in cinamas in March 8. Cinema halls in day of the premiere were near full.
The movie tells the story of an American named John Carter. He is a young, experienced veteran of the Civil War. Accidentally, he goes to foreign planet, named Barsoom. He reveals there many humanoid, intelligent forms of life, and He is involved in a huge conflict between the natives. He helps one of the sides, by what meets a beautiful queen Dejah Thoris. In this restless world, He regains a confidence in himself and starts a another difficult fight in his life.
John Carter movie is full of action. Scenes are very exciting. The story is original and very engaging, full of unexperienced turns. The film offers perfect graphics and amazing
3D special effects. All areas that appears on screen are very realistic and detailed. The director shows us many aspects of living in Barsoom’s enviroment and it’s quite interesting races of residents and their’s habits. Soundtrack created by Michael Giacchino is also nice to hear and good matched. I didn’t found any conspicuous weaknesses in acting. John Carter movie certainly contains many values, eg. a message that you never should give up.
I sincerely recommend this movie not only to science-fiction fans, but to everyone who want to see a original, full of speed action and turns story. Generally, this movie is typical in it’s genre, however visibly stands out of other films of the year. You certainly won’t be disappointed after watching.
