School uniforms

Do you think, that only private and prestigious schools have uniforms? Well, it's not as true as it seems. Many children in the world have to wear uniforms no matter to which school they go to. There are many advantages and disadvantages of school uniforms.

The first and most important advantage is an elimination of differences between rich and poor children. Noone feels worse than the other
and there's no social discrimination. Furthermore, children keep more attention on their knowledge than what they wear. Another advantage of wearing uniforms is a school image. Official outfits make the school look more estetic.

On the other hand, young people can be dissatisfied. Teenagers don't like obtruding anything on them. Especially when somebody influence on their appearance. Even if they could choose a uniforms cut by themselves, it will be very difficult to strike a balance between everybody. The last, but not least disadvantage is fact, that after few years of wearing a school uniform everyday, it will get washed-out and outworn.

Summing up, school uniforms can help in moulding young people's hierarchy of values. They learn that their konowledge is more important than clothes. But they also must remember that compromises are the best way to live in peace and make world better.
