This as a letter of reference for XYZ, a first-year student of English, who has applied for an au-pair in London. I am proud to recommend the student. I have known XYZ since the beginning of the previous academic year that is October 2005. In that time I have found her to be a bright and affable young woman.
In the beginning of the year, she had some trouble with general concepts from specific facts, which was reflected in her short answer and essay writing. However, as the year progressed, her ability of communicating and writing growth very quickly. She put a lot of effort into learning even if she make mistake never become disheartened. She is diligent and ambitious person. Can be a little timid sometimes but she never refuses work in a group and she gets on well with those around her. During working in pairs or groups she is involved in common work.
The student is an optimistic and friendly person. Every time when somebody needs help she helps selflessly. When I look at her I see a grin from ear to ear. Each time I ask her about her charity work, in aid of incurably children, she always answer with a passion and sensivity to pain.
XYZ is undoubtedly the type of student that has the potential for great success at the next level. Her natural abilities combined with her work ethic and ability to evolve academically and socially are a recipe for success in the years to come. I enthusiastically recommend her for an au-pair.
