Dublin - Baile tha Cliath is the capitol of Ireland. It is situated on the east cost of the island, at the estuary of Liffey River to Irish Sea. This wonderful City is famous for unique pubs and all World known breweries. Dublin has also very rich history, as a settlement of Celts it existed since fifth century, at 10th century was conquered. The Normans built a wooden fortress in Dublin. In the early 13th century it was rebuilt in stone. The English king also rebuilt the walls of Dublin and strengthened them. In 1229 Dublin gained its first mayor. In 1988 Dublin celebrated its millennium. (Dublin was actually built in 941 but in the year 988 an Irish king forced the townspeople to pay taxes to him. That year marks the beginning of Dublin as an Irish town). Since 1921 Dublin is the capitol of independent Ireland called by Irish Eire.
Dublin is a really wonderful old city, lies on Dublin Bay and overlooks the Irish sea. Dubliners love good fun, every weekend at two pubs people are making huge parties and all people from the street are allowing coming and drinking a beer. Dubliners like their traditions like St. Patrick Day, that day they wear all green and organized grand parades with shamrocks and THE LEPRECHAUNS.
The capitol of Ireland is famous for its monuments like:
St. Patrick's Cathedral
This cathedral is the site of a holy well, which was used by St. Patrick for baptisms. A church was built here in the 5th century and the building, which was constructed in 1171, is actually Ireland's largest church, built on the oldest Christian site in Dublin. The church organ is the most powerful in Ireland and the West Tower houses some of the largest bells in the country. In 1320, St. Patrick's Cathedral was also the first university and has now become a very popular tourist attraction, as well as a place of worship.

Dublin Castle
This is a truly breathtaking attraction that should not be missed. Dublin castle can be found in the heart of the city and lies on Cork Hill next to Temple Bar. The original Norman structure was built in the 13th century, although now only the Record Tower actually remains from this construction. The 'Undercroft' is part of the actual Viking fortress and over the years the castle has been under siege, almost destroyed by fire, used as a prison and now the State Apartments are occasionally used for government conferences. Other features include the Chester Beatty Library, which has a collection of over 22,000 manuscripts from all over the world, the Portrait Gallery, the Gothic Royal Chapel and the Wedgewood Room. There is also a craft shop, heritage centre and a restaurant.

ras an Uachtarin (The Irish White House)
Originally much smaller, this 1751 country house has been extended several times and now appears very grand indeed. ras an Uachtarin is Irish for 'House of the President' and this grand home has recently been opened to visitors.
I think that Dublin is very similar to Cracow. Wonderful old monuments, streets and specific climate of that city is making Dublin very special for tourists. For me it is a place which I will be always thinking as of the most beautiful place in the World.
