Winston Groom "Forrest Gump"

I would like to present my opinion about the book “Forrest Gump”. It was written by Winston Groom and there was a film made on the strength of this novel.

The main and title character is a young man, whose IQ is 70, that means he is an idiot. It causes many funny situations in his life. He reminisce his life, sitting on the “famous” bench (picture of this is on the cover of the book). All his life is very complicated, because of his IQ. He changes schools, cause nobody want to teach him and children are laughing at him. Nevertheless, there are some things that he is good in: chess running and football. He becomes famous of those things. Through the entire book, Forrest is fallen in love with Jenny – his best friend from childhood. They are still getting lost and find each other; they are still quarrelling and loving. One more thing, that I noticed about the book, is the way, Forrest speaks. He always makes mistakes in telling some words. It makes the reader understand, how stupid Forrest is.

In my opinion, this book is very interesting. I would recommend this to people, who need some gladness in their life. Sometimes it melts the reader, sometimes makes angry. However, when you start reading it, you cannot stop!
