In my opinion fairy tales have a great influnce on people, especially on children. Fairy tales accompany us from early childhood. First our parents read them to us, then we read them ourselves. We ofen go back to fairy tales at later age.
The most important thing is that children's stories are wery educational. They usually contain a clear message, because they always show positive and negative characters, brave heroes and evil villains and good and bad spirits. This way we learn to recognize what is good and what is bad.
Tales teach us the necessary rules we should follow in our lives and how we should behave in difficult situations. Apart from moral issues traditional tales give us an opportunity to learn about old times and past life of our ancestors, old traditions, customs and beliefs.
Another important thing is that tales develop imagination. Buy showing unreal colorfull world of kings and queens, princes and princesses, animals, knight and made- up characters they make us get in to their world and experionce their adventures. When we identify ourselves it is possible for us aithery to find solutions to our problems or to forget about them for sometime.
There is another significant aspect connected with reading fairy tales. It is a very pleasant and instructive way of spending time. Parents who read storis to their children have better contact with them. Moreover, kids who listen to various tales and then they read themeselves usually do better at school, read and write better and make fewer spelling mistakes.
Summing up, fairy tales affect us very much. Not only do they teach us many things and enrich our imagination but they are also useful and pleasant form of entertainment.
