Christmas is very important time in Poland. It is a time when whole family meet and celebrate. The most important day of the christmas in Poland is Christmas Eve, celebrate on december 24.

Christmas Eve consist of 12 dishes and everyone should taste each dish to ensure themself good luck for next year. The dishes are various between regions, but some of them are on the almost everyone Christmas Eve table: beetroot soup, fish, dumplings, cabbage with mushrooms, dried fruit and noodles with poppy seed.
Another tradition is putting little hay under the tablecloth as a memory of Christ’s bright in a manger.
