The Happy Prince

Many years ago were a big city in the north of Europe. In this city, there was a big square .On this square was a beautiful statue. It was the Happy Prince .He was very beautiful and on his body was gold. Everyone in city was proud and lucky. Near the river lived 2 birds. Little Swallow and Reed. The Swallow wanted to be with the Reed in Egypt but the Reed couldn’t go with the Swallow so the Swallow left the Reed and flew south.

While the bird was flying to Egypt it saw the statue of prince. The Swallow was tired and wanted to sleep. While the Swallow was falling asleep the prince cried .The Swallow wanted to know why so beautiful statue of the Happy Prince cried .The bird asked the Prince about it. The Prince was very sad but when the Prince was alive he was never sad

The statue told something about his past. The Swallow was a softhearted bird so it wanted to help the statue .The prince wasn’t happy because he saw the misery. The Swallow wanted to help him but it should went to Egypt. First the Prince wanted to help a poor woman. This woman had a very sick son .Her son wanted to eat oranges. The weather wasn’t good it was cold and windy .The Swallow wanted to go to Egypt. The bird was going to leave. He opened his wings but the prince was very sad so the bird stayed with him one more night. Then the Prince was happier. The Swallow took the ruby from The Prince’s sword. The Prince agreed with that so the Swallow gave it to the poor woman. Then the boy felt better. When the bird was coming back to the prince he thought about the boy. Soon the bird saw the statue. The Swallow sat at the Prince’s feet and smiled. He told the Prince what he did. The Swallow felt strange. It was cold but the bird didn’t feel cold. He didn’t feel cold because he did something good .It was Prince’s opinion. The bird was tired it puts his head under his wing and slept.

Next day both of them ware happy. The Swallow met with the Sparrows. They ware surprised because The Swallow should be in Egypt .The prince wasn’t happy when the Swallow was coming back. The Prince wanted to stay with the bird one more night. The Prince told him about a poor young man. The Prince wanted to help him but he needed the bird’s help. This man had no many and he was hungry .The Swallow decided to stay one more night in this city. The Swallow took sapphire from the prince’s eye .The Prince agreed on it. The bird arrived at the young man’s garret. The man was sleeping so the bird leaved the sapphire and went to the Prince.

Next day the Prince wanted to help a poor little girl but the Swallow wanted to go to Egypt. But the bird took the second prince’s eye and put the beautiful sapphire in the little girl’s hand .The girl was very happy and she went home.

Now the prince was blind so the Swallow decided to stay with him forever. They ware really good friends. The Swallow told him many wonderful stories about the birds in Egypt But in city ware many poor people so they wanted to help this people. The bird took the gold leaves from the Prince’s body and he gave them to the poor people. But days ware colder and colder and the Prince’s gold was gone. The Swallow kissed the Prince and fell dead. While the Mayor was walking he saw the statue and the bird. He decided to destroy them. The street cleaners threw the bird on top of the city dump and took the statue to a foundry but the statue’s heart didn’t want melt in the furnace.

The God want to have the two most precious things in the city. The angel went to the city and returned with the heart and the dead Swallow .God was happy and he wanted to kept the bird in his garden forever and the Happy Prince
