Traveling broadens the mind

People have been traveling for ages and nowadays traveling is becoming more and more popular. It is easier, faster and more comfortable than some time ago. I think that it is positive phenomenon and traveling broadens our minds.
Firstly, lots of people consider that ‘seeing is believing’. They want to know more about other places and they believe that the best way to do it is traveling there. They can see some characteristic places not only on the photograph but see something in a flesh, they have also possibility to taste cuisine, smell some specific fragrance (f. Ex. in the tropical forest).
What is more, traveling is a new experience. We can meet and get acquaintance whit new, interesting people and in this way learn something about their everyday life, customs and habits. We can also explore other countries by learning about it’s history and geography. The best method is to visit museums and to do some sightseeing. Trips give us the possibility to see different, original architecture. We may admire the beauty , which we have never seen before.
Moreover, during our travels we can significantly improve our language skills, especially communication with people.
All this experiences are also very helpful if we want to study or work in other country.
However, there are also some disadvantages of traveling. For instance, sometimes you have to face some unpleasant, difficult situations. Sometimes traveling is dangerous, especially when you visit some exotic countries ( you can go down with some serious illness). What is more, traveling is very expensive way of spending time and not everybody can afford it.
Summing up, I think that traveling has more advantages than disadvantages and if we have enough money we should travel abroad because every journey makes us smarter and more experienced.
