As is usually known, parents plans children’s future for ages. Not only did they consider that children can’t choose appropriately what is good enough for them, but also children must come up to their expectations. The parents can guide their children in the right path. But they must not force their children to get into the career what they wish. They must understand the feelings of their children. Nothing can be achieved by forcing the children in their way.
At first, I would like to say that children should have the right to decide who they want to be when they grow up. However, parents can give suggestions and discuss with their children about the prevalent educational trends and benefits of pursuing a particular course, but the final decision should be taken only by the child.
Secondly, most parents want to use their children to compensate for what they failed to achieve in life. Seldom do they back their children up in making decision, they rather opposed to their point of view. As a result parents pressured children to obey their plans and aspirations in order to make their dreams come true. They do not notice children’s objections and displeasure.
Afterwards, some parents want their children to continue in their line of business or profession because they think it is obvious that children have to follow their career way. They worried more about what will happen with families business, so they ignore kids dreams.
On the other hand, Children need the guidance of their parents all through their career. It is because, due to the age factor they are unable to distinguish what is good and what is bad. Taking adverse decisions may go to the extent of spoiling their life. But the parents who have a lot of experience may lead the children in the right path.
All things considered, it seems to me that parents should be the guiding force, but they cannot force the children to take up the line in which they are not really interested. Parents can help the children, but the decision lies in the hands of the children as it is their life. My advised for parents is following: let the children make their own choices as long as they are reasonable, advise but don’t impose things on them.
