In the United States of America 75 percent of teenagers are overweight. Junk food is a crucial problem for our country and community. For this reason schools should not install chocolate vending machines, and if they would this would contribute to some serious problems.
Students would get hyperactive because of the sugar and would be not concentrating in class. Nutrition and health problems would materialize, and most of all candy wrappers would be all over our school, everywhere.

Unfortunately, teenagers love chocolate. Even diminutive amounts can make them very hyperactive. Sugar would get into their bloodstreams, and students would come out of the lunch room bouncing of the walls. At class they wouldn’t be concentrating on what the teacher was saying; they would be talking to their friends. That leads to behavior problems and even more problems at school. I’m sure that no one would like that. Soon enough, teens would get addicted to candy and those problems would occur more often. Student behavior would alternate because of those reasons if the school installed chocolate dispensing machines.

Moreover, candy contains many calories ,ranging from 500 to 1200, which are hard to ignite. When a person consumes too much sweets the calories that haven’t been burned get stored in their body, causing obesity. That’s how many teens get overweight. Secondly, cavities are caused by candy bars. Sugar works on teeth like acid, burning and making them die. In addition, chocolate bars do not have nutrition and vitamins that a growing adult needs. Candy is not as nutritionally fulfilling as many as fruits and vegetables which your mom is continually trying to make you eat. Chocolate is just tasty junk food, that does not help growing teenagers at all! Lastly, if kids ate too much chocolate bars they would get nauseous and have stomachaches. See how many health problems would occur?

Last, but not least waste problems would ensue. If students ate a lot of candy, there would be candy wrappers all over the school building.
Litter in the lunchroom, candy wrappers in the halls. That would become a bigger problem with time. Pieces of chocolate in the lockers would attract ants and all sorts of bugs, and soon our school would have bug problems. Outside of MMS the look of our school wouldn’t look too appealing and inviting to our visitors. If there were candy wrappers everywhere, I’m sure teachers and most of the students wouldn’t like that look either.

In summary, candy vending machines do not belong at MMS. If they would be installed, students’ behavior would change, and they would have difficulties at school. Teens would get fitness and nourishment problems and lastly, trash would be all over our school. Because of those reasons, I came to the conclusion that chocolate vending machines would do more harm than good. Now it’s your choice. Do you want candy vending machines at MMS, or do you share my opinion?
