The car: dream machine or nightmare?

Every morning many people travel to their jobs by cars.

They use to sit comfortable, listen to music and relax

before stressful work.

But could modern society exist without the car?

One major advantage of owning a car is that you are

independent of public transport.
What is more huge luggage is not a problem if you have

big car. You can take with you heavy bags and do not

have to pay extra-bills.

Furthmore singing and listening to favourite music will not

disturb other passangers.

In addition to this you can stop whenever you want.

If you are travelling nothing will stop you to take some

pictures.

Not to mention the fact that our car can make us feel

absolutly free. Fast drivers love feeling of the wind in their

heair. It is freedom.

However, there are disadvantages of owning a car. You

are responsible for your purchase. Changing tires in the

winter and in the summer. From one to anoher. And repaire

whenever it is broken down. Apart from this, while you are driving pollution is pumped

into the air. It makes deadly damage for environment.

Besides you can stock in a traffic jam for long hours.
It is cauced by increasing number of producing cars every

year.
What is more nowadays fuel is very expensive.

To conclude, it is clear that car was invented to make our

life easier and comfortable. Also it would be unreal to

create dream machine without defects. As Marshall

McLuhan once said, : ‘The car has become an article of dress

without we feel uncertain, unclad and incomplete.’
