My Christmas

I spent Christmas with my family in my house. It all starts in the morning of twenty-fourth December. I decorate the freshly bought tree with my father. We hand all kinds of lights and put a star on top.
After that, we start preparing for Christmas Eve. Mum cooks all kinds of dishes, but nothing with meat. I like the pockets with cabbage and mushrooms most. When mum cooks, I play with my cousins in the garden ? we make a snowman and have a snowball fight.
About five o?clock my family comes. I always spend Christmas with my grandmother and grandfather, my uncles from Poznań and Szczecin and also with my cousins. Everyone talks before supper, we talk about changes in our lives, politics and other boring things. My younger cousins go to my room and play with my old toys, and they often make a big mess.
Before eating, we say wishes to each other and eat wafer together.
Next, we all sit down to supper. There are a lot of different dishes, usually twelve. I like fish most, so I am very happy to eat almost everything I can. I always feel a lot heavier after Christmas, but everyone does, so it?s ok.
After that, we unpack our presents. I always get jewelry, because I like jewelry. I also get socks, sweaters and other clothes. I sometimes get some money and I like that very much.
After presents, we go to church at midnight and pray for the next year and our health. I don?t often go to church, but I must go at Christmas Eve, because it?s a tradition in my family. We eat something warm when we go back and the go to sleep.
