The history of the cinema starts from magic lanterns very popular in Europe in the nineteenth century. First cinematographe made Lumiere brothers. On December 28 1895 in Paris they showed the first moving pictures. The first moving pictures were very short – only few minutes long. It were about trains in train station, workers and children. At first the poeple did not like these moving pictures because there were silent film. Bur many silent actors became very popular, like Charlie Chaplin. He always wore a bowler hat, a small jacket and big trosers and carried a cane. He was a star of the films like: “A dog`s life”, “The kid” “The gold rush” “The tramp”. Now the cinema are very popular, and a lot of poeple went to the cinema three times a week.
