Many people believe that individual acts on behalf of environmental protection are meaningless. Now a days, the matter of pollution, extinction etc. is very popular. Our planet is becoming more and more damaged. In my opinion every act protecting the environment is vital.
Firstly, people in the world thought that his behaviour has no effect, there would not be Earth anymore. You cannot throw your trash on the street because “This does not counts, single acts are meaningless.”
Secondly, the majority of people think same. If 90% of population claim that is the only not helping and 10% claims inversely, the result will be terrible. Ants would have no home if they claimed that, but they do not and bring piece to piece building the anthill.
Furthermore, every move makes a difference. Step by step one can achieve anything. Today you pick up the litter, then next person will change something to help and there will be millions of people acting on behalf of environmental protection.
On the other hand, I fully understand the motives of thoughts like that. An individual feels like he or she was not able to change the world. That is the natural feeling of weakness.
All things considered, people should think about themselves like a part of one big organism and do not act selfish. In this world the majority has the power and this works in both directions. I strongly believe that all actions big or small sum up and give the result.
