''The Expendables'' review
One of the newest films, which was recently released is ''The Expendables''. The general plot of this action movie was written by David Callaham and Sylvester Stallone. Sylvester Stallone as a director started filming on March 28, 2009. The film was released in cinemas on August 13, 2010. The fable takes place in Latin America where a fictional island called Vilena exists between the Gulf of Mexico and South America. The small country is ruled by the cruel general Garza (David Zayas).Time is not mentioned but despite it we are able to think that history is propably in 21th century.

The team of elite mercenaries, the Expendables, are deployed in Somalia to halt local pirates from executing the hostages on a naval ship. One of the mercenaries instigates a firefight, causing casualties for the pirates. After the mission the team travel to New Orleans where they are stationed. Ross(leader of the team) and Trent Mauser (Arnold Schwarzenegger) visit a church to meet a man, who takes the name "Mr. Church" (Bruce Willis). "Church" offers them the next important mission... in Latin America. Ross and his team fly to the Vilena to fight with the dictatorship. Eventually the team fight and shoots their way through Garza's soldiers and overthrow him.

All of the actors are rather retired but they still act excellent. A peaceful conversation in the church contains a lot of great ripostes. There are not many dialogues but they enrich the plot. Although, acting of other actors can be monotonous for some people. The script is not really advanced and it looks like typical template of the story from Hollywood. Soundtrack created by Brian Tyler music fits perfectly to the kind of mood and creates excellent atmosphere. The fight scenes are brilliant.

Main parts of the film have been recorded in Brazil. Other locations were Elmwood and New Orleans in Louisiana. Filming controlled by Sylvester Stallone does not leave place for criticism, but total realization unfortunately is not as good as general idea. Costumes and weapons look like in other films about special forces and soldiers. Special effects obviously are amazing.

All things considered, I would like to recommend you to see this interesting action film.
It is pefect entertainment for people who like action scenes and special effects with simple but catchy plot. This film is quite brutal and violent so children should not watch it. If you want to see amateur action movies, you should visit Youtube channel called "PowerBoysPL"
