Dear John!

I am happy to hear from you. As I promised I am going to tell you what has recently happened at my school.
As you know we are having a new principal right now. And guess what we are obliged to do? Wear those stinky trainers! I really hate them. And they all should be the same patern and colour! A month ago, when schoolyear started, we were very angry because of that. We have had no problem with that before and it was ok for us to wear what we want. So we organised a small protest. Every student in our school had to walk barefooted throughout the whole week! And guess what – we have achieved our goal and we don’t have to wear stinky trainers anymore.
But what the most interesting was our debate on what kind of protest we were going to choose. We were thinking what kind of protest would be the most acceptable one. We couldn’t simply play truant – we could all then be suspended. Just like workers of Polish railways – who would lose more than gain – we decided not to neglect our duties. It simply wouldn’t be acceptable and would bring more harms than profits! We also didn’t chose blocking the main school entrance – it would look very funny!
But finally, we are happy that we used our right to protest – it is always good to know about it and be aware that we can use it when we disagree with something.
Tell me what you think about that. I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Love, Anna
