Poland will become one of the members of the European Union soon. We will have more possibilities of development. Our country and its citizens will gain a lot. In the near future I see Poland as a strong and confident country that meets the EU's requirements - better market economy and husbandry farming. I'm sure that many firms will be interested in our products - that means the increase of our home market. If we join the EU, we will get financial support from the union - special funding for economic development, money for agriculture and for the weakest branches of industry. Poles will be able to travel abroad without visas, we won't have any problems with crossing borders, as there won't be any. The situations in which we might feel hostility to our nation will become the past, we won't be poorer than other countries, but we will be a part of the whole of Europe. The attitude to wards Poland will change.

Our agriculture is very weak, so Polish farmers feel a bit uncertain about their future chances in competition with much stronger a ones those that come from countries that are already partners in the European community. The big problem is the fact, that Polish land is very cheap and if people from other countries can buy it with no limits, we will lose the land, for which Poles have been fighting for years. Nevertheless it is absolutely necessary for us to join the EU, as we live in central of Europe and we are a part of its culture, so we need to cooperate. Membership in the EU will give Polish people the opportunity to improve their conditions of life, because they will be able to go to work abroad.

I don't think that the EU will change my life. It is good as it is. I actually think that it will give me more opportunities to develop myself. For example: If I choose to study in Italy there won't be unpassable barriers that will not allow me to do so. The options which come with the possibility of studying abroad in certain respects “force” us to gain knowledge of other languages. In the future, someone who doesn’t know languages, will be like a blind man. I think that I'll be able to benefit from that. I would like to be a trader in the future and have a lot of options for work. When Poland gets into the EU, the trade ways among the EU's members will be more profitable for us and for our market. It's better to be strong together, than weak alone.
