The Titanic began its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York on Wednsday, April 10th, 1912. At first the voyage went very easily.

The fourth day5of the voyage was troublous, although the ocean was calm. Passangers used all conveniences, offered by the luxury White Star Line.

In the evening - 14th April, 1912 - the temperature of the water dropped to the surroundingof the freezing paint. The sky was clean but the moon was invisible.

At 11:40 pm, while the ship was sailing south, a look-out spotted a large iceberg directly ahead the ship. Suddenly the bell sounded three times and the look-out telephoned the captain. A colission turned out to be inevitable and the iceberg brushed the ship. Though she was called unsinkable, she was in fatal situation. At first nobody felt the seriousness of the situation. Passangers weren't prone to the changing the safe looking ship to the life-boats. In the result most of the life-boats were lounched empty. Shout of the panic began only after first at night. Anybody could see, that the back plenged were completely in the water. But it was too late. A generator of the electricy stopped washing. Darkness enveloped the ship. On the deck, people were towards the stern on jummping overboard (in hoping to find) a life-boat. A ship and 1500 lives were lost.
