The most frightening journey I have ever made was about 5 years ago. Me and my younger sister spent almost every holidays at our grandmother. She lived in a village near the river. We were always so curious and we did a lot of things there.

One day, as grandma woke us up for the breakfast we run fast in the outside because it was the first day that it didn’t rain and we were very happy. We were so exited that we forgot to dress us up. We didn’t knew that in the yard was our grandma friend, Mr Andrzej. We didn’t knew him very well and fel ashamed so run back home. Later, as we dressed us up and ate the breakfast, Mr Andrzej told us, that he want to take us for a little trip in the wood. Grandmother toke some food and juice, we all got in the car and so the journey begun.
In the wood we were walking for hours, until I saw a squirrel. Andżelika and I started to chase it… and we got lost. We were very frightend and screamed for help but grandma and Mr Andrzej couldn’t here us. It was getting dark. We were walking and screaming, holding our hands. Suddenly I saw a light, so we started to going in it direction. We got to a small and dusty cottage. We went into this cottage and decided to stay there until morning. It was really a frightening night. We were sitting on small stools in the only room. Andżelika was holding my hand all the time. I wanted to cry and could hardly stop my tears. The wind was blowing among trees and there were some noises behind the window. It was after midnight when someone opened the door and said: “Patrcyja? Andżelika? Are you here?” It was Mr Andrzej. He found us! He took us back home and our grandmother gave us a hot chocolate and cookies. The nightmare was over.
On the next day we asked grandma to show us this cottage in daylight. But when we arrived at the place, we saw only the lake but there was no house. It was so strange.
As we got back from holiday, I told my mum what happened. She told me a story of a poor family, which lived in the wood in a hut. Nobody knew them very well and the children never went to school. One day they all disappear.

Now, I am almost 18 years old, but I still remember the story that happened to me and my sister in the wood. I believe, that it was the family, which showed us their home and saved us.
