Toruń is a quite big and historic town in the centre of Poland. If you’re visiting this city in the spring or summer, the weather will be warm and sunny, so you won’t need to bring warm clothes. If you come in winter you should bring some warm clothes. At this time of year it can get very cold and snowy.
There’re plenty of places to stay in Toruń, such as the Helios Hotel, the Kosmos Hotel or some students’ houses. If you’re travelling on a small budget, it’s the best to “DS 3”.
Once you arrive in July, it’s easy to get around. You can travel by train. If you’re staying in the town centre, make sure you take a bus.
There is a lot of to see in Toruń. For example there is the beautiful Old City with the Tower Hall, the statua of Nicolas Copernicus and a lot of churches.
During the day you should visit Toruń’s museums, see the Vistula, walking and eat delicious Toruń’s gingerbreads. In the evening you ought to see beautiful ilumination the Old Walls.
If you want to buy typical souvenirs, it’s best to see in Szeroka Street. You can buy some postcards, figurines and gingerbreads, of course.
