My most terrific night

I loved in a small village in the coutry. It`s an old house, about 100 years old. I lived there with my parents and a little sister. My city friends often stayed with me but that horrible night I was alone at home, because my all family went to vi sit my ill aunt. ( She`s not realized that cigarettes are the main cause of lung cancer which kills houndred of thousands of people every year).

It was one evening last autumn. It was cold and windy. At about 10 p.m. I finished my homework and I made myself some popcorn, sat in front TV and started watching my favourite horror film.

Suddenly I heard some strange noise outside my house. At first I ignored it. In the end I got up and walked to the window, looked trought it and saw two strange men. It was dark outside but they were standing under a street lamp and talking nervously. They looked suspicious. Then a third man appeared. After a few minutes they went to towards my nearest neighbours` house, but in my neghbours` house wasn`t nobody. They arrived to the restaurant.

Suddenly I remembered that I promised my neighbour that I`ll take care of the house while she`s away. I gnew more terrified, so I phoned my friends.
- Hello !
- Is that Kate?
- Yes
- Hi, it`s Anita
- Hi, Anita ... you sound terrified. What`s happened?
- I`m alone in the house and I`m really scared.
- Why? What`s the matter?
- It`s really seriouse ! I was sitting at home, suddenly I heard some noise outside house. Under a strret lamp standing a three suspicion men. They were walked toward my neighbours` house.
- And that what happened?
- Later on I recalled I promise my neighbour that I`ll take care of house.
- Is there nobody?
- Yes, there is
- Calm dawn, Anita. Did you check who it was? Did you go outside?
- Are you crazy? I`m too afraid to go outside and face the men. Please, Kate, come quickly and help me !
- All right. I`m going to get my car. Stay were you are and don`t move.
- Great, Kate! Quickly !
- I`ll be there in few minutes. See you!
- See you.

Afterwards I phoned the POLICE . They promised me that they`d drive as fast as they can.
Then I glanced out of the window and noticed some smoke comming from the my neighbours` house. I saw these three men whitch gotaway. I grabbed the telephone and rang the FIRE BRIDGE.

Later on I left my house and stopped to in front of my neighbours` house. It was terrible – this smell of the fair. At the same time I glimsed a Max – my neighbours` dog – inside the burning house, so I jumped straight fire and tried to grab him. Unfortunately Max clutched at my leg and we almost went fire together. Finally I freed myself and went with him outside. He was shocked! To my amazement POLICE and FIRE BRIDGE arrived. As a result an ambulance tooke me to hospital together with Max ( but he went to vet).
The next morning I left hospital and came back home. Soon the POLICE caught the three men who broke into my neighbours` house and arsoned theirs house. My evidence was very helpful to their investigation. I was very happy I could help POLICE.

Later, it tourned out that they had stolen a TV and a very expensive pictures.

I told that I phoned the POLICE and FIRE BRIDGE and ... safe Max ( he will be OK. ) , but I think I didn`t do any special. My parents and neighbourgs are very proud of me.
